To draw a straight line (in three clicks):

Click 1: Select the Straight Line Tool.

Click 2: Click at the start position. Move the mouse to draw the line.

Click 3: Click at the end position.
The Straight Line Tool is the quickest way to draw a single straight line.
To select the Straight Line Tool click its icon in the Toolkit panel, or choose menu option Edit > Select Tool > Straight Line Tool (or keyboard shortcut ⌃L Control-L).
Click 1: Select the Straight Line Tool.
Click 2: Click at the start position. Move the mouse to draw the line.
Click 3: Click at the end position.
