Licensing

We offer several different types of iStudio Publisher license. Please take a minute to read this page to see which one will suit you best.

Trial License

A Trial License gives you a FREE 30-day trial of the full product, so that you can "try before you buy" and do real work from Day 1 of your evaluation period.

When you install and run iStudio Publisher for the first time, you will be offered a 30-day trial. To start your trial, simply provide your email address and a small amount of other information. iStudio Publisher will automatically obtain a 30-day Trial License from our license activation server, across the Internet.

You may convert a trial version of iStudio Publisher into a full version by purchasing a License Activation Code and completing an Internet based activation.

Single Computer License

A Single Computer License allows you to install and use iStudio Publisher on one computer. This includes a single computer that is shared by several users. You will need a separate Single Computer License for each different computer that iStudio Publisher is going to run on. If you change your computer, you will be able to move your Single Computer License to your new computer.

Personal 2-Pack License

A Personal 2-Pack License includes two licenses, but with added restrictions. It allows you to install and use iStudio Publisher on two separate computers. The second copy of iStudio Publisher is for your own exclusive use only and must be installed on either a portable computer or a computer located at your home and must not be used at the same time as the first copy of Studio Publisher. If you change your computer(s), you will be able to move your Personal 2-Pack License(s) to your new computer(s).

Family 3-Pack License

A Family 3-Pack License includes three licenses, but with added restrictions. It allows you to install and use iStudio Publisher on three separate computers, as long as all of those computers are located in the same household and used by persons who occupy that same household. "Household" means a person or persons sharing the same housing unit such as a home, apartment, condominium or mobile home. A Family 3-Pack License does not extend to students who reside at a separate on-campus location or to business or commercial users. If you change your computer(s), you will be able to move your Family 3-Pack License(s) to your new computer(s).

Single Computer License 5-Pack

A Single Computer License 5-Pack includes five licenses with no restrictions. Designed for businesses, this gives you five Single Computer Licenses for the same price as four purchased separately.

Network Based License

A Network Based License allows you to use as many copies of iStudio Publisher concurrently as is provided by the "number of user seats" of the Network Based License. You may install iStudio Publisher on as many different computers on your internal network as you like, which in many cases will be a greater number than the number of user seats provided by your Network Based License.

We supply you with license server software that runs on one or more computers on your internal network. When a user anywhere on your network starts up iStudio Publisher, it attempts to "check out" a license from the license server. This license is automatically "checked in" again when iStudio Publisher is closed down.

This solution can provide you with more flexibility than using multiple Single Computer Licenses and is especially suited to use with large workgroups.
