Creating a Shaped Text Container

To create a shaped text container:

Select a shape from the Shape Library.

Hold down the Command key and drag to draw a shaped text container having a single text column.

NOTE: A 'Text Shape' label is displayed during drawing. If you release the Command key, the label disappears and the shape is drawn as a normal shape.

A text shape has no line stroke and no color fill, but these can be added using the Inspectors.

When drawing is completed, a text cursor is auto-inserted in the text column and the Text Tool is auto-selected, ready for text input.

To enter text on a shape's path, you must first enable the path, which is described here:
